I downloaded the.NET 3.5 SP1 redistributable package, installed it, and my app ran fine. After upgrade to Windows 7, the app failed to run because it couldn't run and was looking for Microsoft.Data.SqlClient.dll and it was not found. I know for a fact that it was missing from the folder, but when I went to the error message to add the DLL file, it was not there. It was saying the file was not found on the 'Microsoft.Data.dll' file. I checked my installation and all of the files from the redist. package installed, but it didn't look for the 'Microsoft.Data.SqlClient.dll' file. What can I do to fix this?
I am tryning to add a new data connection in my conponent (which is of course, a user control), however, when I load the control and add the connection, it says that the connection doesn't exist. I load the connection to a SQL string and then try to execute it and it throws "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Is there something I need to add in order to be able to load the connection? This is the first time I have worked with the component so I don't know if this is how it is supposed to work.
I require some advice for a presentation on Microsoft.NET that I am writing. I have.NET 4.0 and Visual Studio 2010 (Ultimate), and have installed the MSDN libs as well as the Visual Studio SDK (as recommended). Is it OK for me to use only the.NET 4.0 Framework, the.NET 4.0 and the SDK, and from now on, will the presentation be OK with that? Will any other tools be needed in addition to.NET? d2c66b5586
