The competition is always open for this aircraft, following a lot of interest, I think that I get this aircraft more loaded than I'd expect to get the balance right. But in reality you will probably be happier with a stock 208.
The quality of the checklists are getting better, and the price may drop a bit. But even now, they are a solid tool to have, and I'm glad that the list is there. If you're flying an aircraft that is part of the Carenado 208 lineage, or if you're getting ready to purchase the aircraft, you can't go wrong. If you already own a Carenado Caravan, you can certainly find some value in the checklists. These can really be a fun tool to use for learning to fly, and they really are useful for operating your aircraft in an emergency, for example.
Checklists from the Carenado site are priced individually, and are regionally restricted. Even when the checklists themselves aren't regionally restricted, listings may be. If you are outside the United States and you do want checklists with the molding around the controls, this is the way to go.
Carenado specifies that checklists for the Caravan Caravan 220B and Caravan 208B are the same models of the 206 since 209 production ceased, and the checklists are modified slightly to accomodate the changes in the 206 model. (The 206 also has an all-new cabin interiors, so expect some belt-tightening in your checklists.)
Since they are sold only separately, checklists from the FlightRite site are priced as a package, and are regionally unrestricted. The content of the checklists is still unchanged, although the layout is updated to match the changes made to the aircraft, and so there is some continuity between the checklists, at least. d2c66b5586
