Once the microphone is connected, plug it into your preferred gaming headset. Every device that can connect to the internet has options on their own websites to switch between wireless and wired connections. Once the headset has an internet connection, follow the onscreen prompts to install and configure a few extra bits of software. Some of these applications are codecs, while others are software for controlling your device on the internet.
When you are done with these tasks, open up the sound settings icon on your desktop and configure it to the mic. Some options include reassign audio, select equalizers, change the volume, or change the channel balance.
For a more video game-focused headset, I’d recommend the Sony Playstation Headset. I’ve used and love it, and would highly recommend. Amazon is a great place to shop and you can usually find it at a decent price. Note this headset is controller ready, so you have built in joysticks and even buttons to control your games.
Most likely, your desired headset will not have a microphone. If this applies to your use-case, you’ll want another one. Blackmagic Microphones, Amazon , and Eyetronics are a few decent choices. I have a TriAudio 14.1 and I love it. I recommend a headset with tactile feel and comfort. d2c66b5586
