In this episode, I discuss 1Password's update history, giving some insight into the kind of changes we make when we change. After a quick summary, I discuss the latest news from the secret feature that was just revealed. I go into detail about the internal features we worked on for this update, including, but not limited to:
Custom Login Filters: You can now set up custom login filters that run in the background when you launch 1Password. If you use these in conjunction with an app like YubiKey Manager , you can have the password for a site autofill into your app.
Tabbed Password Store: 1Password now has a new, modern look that can be used with any version of the app. You can choose between the tabbed interface, which is like Gmail's inbox, and the master view which shows all of your vaults in a common place.
Zero Touch Logins: You can now login directly to sites without a prompt from 1Password. While this works well in the built-in apps, we knew that it would be too easy to accidentally start 1Password for a site you don't want to go to, so this feature is turned off in the settings. We're looking to release more built-in apps that support this feature in the future.
AutoFill: The AutoFill feature has been improved. AutoFill now recognizes longer inputs, and will suggest the right password. When it does so, it will pause to allow you to correct the mistake.
Custom Fonts: You can now change the font used in 1Password. You can choose the font used in the 1Password application, or the system font used in the app. 827ec27edc
